Position Summary:
The Sales Associate at the Boise VandalStore represents the University of Idaho by delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the overall mission of the store: Investing in Students and the University One Purchase at a Time. This part-time position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about providing an unparalleled shopping experience to customers. The Sales Associate will engage with customers, demonstrate product knowledge, and facilitate transactions while maintaining the visual presentation and cleanliness of the store. They will collaborate with the leadership team to uphold merchandising standards and contribute to inventory control efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude; ability to communicate effectively; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to carry out store opening and closing procedures; ability to work safely. Minimum Qualifications:

Experience in customer-facing roles such as retail, hospitality, or food service.
Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience with customer service.
Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately; contribute to overall team success.
Demonstrated problem solving skills; Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate sales and inventory records.
Serve and communicate effectively, both verbal (in person and via telephone) and in writing, with diverse personalities and cultures.
Ability to use a computer and current software.
Ability to be punctual and reliable.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

Ability to bend & stoop.
Ability to lift, carry and/or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
Willing and able to work evenings, weekends and special events.
