Job Description
The Associate Director of Ticket Sales oversees all reporting, call traffic, and accountability of the ticket sales representatives while maintaining a prospecting/lead list for all ticket sales representatives. This position will maintain customer service standard for all ticket sales staff. Reporting to the Associate A.D., Ticket Sales, the Associate Director will increase revenue through new ticket sales for all ticketed sports.


Responsibilities
  • Develop the programming, management, and training for the ticket sales representatives. Responsible for creating a motivating environment set-up for success and setting daily, monthly, and yearly ticket sales goals along with metrics.
  • Provide oversight during annual performance reviews to properly evaluate ticket sales representatives.
  • Hire and retain ticket sales representatives. Mentor ticket sales representatives to ensure an opportunity for professional development.
  • Develop and execute ticketing sales plans, including creating external prospecting events designed for ticket sales growth. Responsible for the coordination and execution of these prospecting events.
  • Responsible for the direction of a high level of productivity from the ticket sales team, ensuring a high outbound call volume from the sales team. Manage the daily call metrics and establish new goals as needed.
  • Responsible for an established portfolio of sales targets and meeting the ticketing goals set forth by the Associate AD, Ticket Sales.
  • Work closely with ticket operations, Tennessee Fund, and marketing staff to develop weekly ticket sales reports. Based on these reports, this position will create and implement a sales strategy to enhance weekly ticket sales revenue.
  • Collaborate with Associate AD of Ticket Sales, Associate AD of Fan Experience and Marketing, Associate AD of Ticket Operations, and the Tennessee Fund on lead generation, lead qualification, and implement sales strategy for most effectively utilizing leads. Create and execute this strategy along with the ticket sales representatives.
  • Execute sales strategy by working closely with ticket operations, marketing, Tennessee Fund, communications, operations, the business office, IT departments, and campus entities. This person is solely responsible for the outbound sales results of the ticket sales representatives.
  • Collaborate with Associate AD, Ticket Sales, ticket operations, Tennessee Fund, and marketing staff to develop ticket pricing, ticket packages. Execute the sales plan and fulfill deliverables.
  • Generate data/analytics and customer data reports to drive business strategy and pricing. Execute business strategy plans to increase ticket revenue.
  • Research, develop, and oversee the implementation of best practices and policies/procedures related to the maximization of ticket sales for Athletics events.
  • Constantly evaluate the ticket industries, evaluate trends, present creative solutions, and execute new ideas to enhance revenue generation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Sport Management, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience: Experienced salesperson with a minimum of 1-2 years of proven success in collegiate athletics or professional sports, one year of management & supervisory experience.
